Join the Iowa City Library on the second Tuesday of every month for a new Books to Cooks Club, where they read a picture book and make a delicious after school snack from the story! This program is for K-6th grade. How does a dinosaur eat all his food? Does he burp, does he belch, or make noises quite rude? Does he pick at his cereal, throw down his cup, hoping to make someone else pick it up? First we’ll read Jane Yolen’s “How Do Dinosaurs Eat their Food?” to find out a little bit about dinosaurs, and a little bit about eating etiquette!
After the story, they’ll use waffles and fruit to create you own “wafflesaurus rex” or other delicious dino waffle treats! Please let staff be aware of any food allergies if attending any Books to Cooks Club programs.
If you need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Library.
