ABOUT

WE’RE ABOUT REMAINING INDEPENDENT, TOGETHER

TRAIL of Johnson County, a nonprofit, membership-based organization, is dedicated to helping older adults successfully age in place by offering tools and resources for active, independent living. As part of the nationwide Village to Village network, with over 200 similar organizations, TRAIL encourages involvement as a member, volunteer, or contributor.

Founded by two groups of Iowa City-area friends at or near retirement age, TRAIL aims to support those who prefer to remain in their homes rather than move to senior-living facilities, fostering a supportive community for aging in place.
