• Exfoliate: Exfoliate your skin at least 24 hours before your spray tan. Use a gentle exfoliating mitt and avoid sugar or salt scrubs that can leave a residue. Focus on areas like elbows, knees, and ankles for an even application.
• Hair Removal: Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to your tan to allow your skin to settle. Avoid shaving or waxing right before your appointment to prevent irritation.
• Shower: Shower at least 4 hours before your tan, but avoid Dove soap as it can leave a film on your skin, preventing the tan from developing properly. Make sure your skin is completely clean and dry.
• No Products on Skin: On the day of your appointment, avoid wearing makeup, lotion, deodorant, or perfume, as these can create barriers that prevent even tanning.
• What to Wear: Wear loose, dark clothing (long sleeves and pants) and flip-flops or sandals to your appointment. Tight clothing and bras should be avoided, as they can cause lines or smudging after your tan.

• Let Your Tan Develop: After your appointment, wear your tan for the recommended time provided by Megan, usually between 4-12 hours. Avoid getting wet or sweating during this crucial development period. Don’t shower or get the tan wet until your designated rinse time.
• First Rinse: When it’s time to rinse, use water only—no soap! Keep your rinse quick, and don’t worry if the tan appears lighter afterward. The color will continue to develop over the next 24 hours.
• Pat Dry: After every shower, gently pat your skin dry with a towel—never rub, as this can fade your tan.
• Moisturize Daily: Hydrate your skin twice daily with a spray tan-safe lotion to extend the life of your tan and maintain an even, glowing appearance.
• Avoid Water Exposure: Prolonged exposure to water, such as swimming, hot tubs, and long showers, can cause your tan to fade more quickly. Keep water contact to a minimum to preserve your color.
• Shaving: If you need to shave, wait 48 hours after your tan, and use conditioner instead of shaving cream, which can strip the tan.
