Welcome to Coralville's Theatre
Located at the corner of 5th Street and 12th Avenue, the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts features the stunning Jim L. Fausett Theater. Offering 472 seats, this state-of-the-art auditorium is designed to make every event an extraordinary experience.
Since opening its doors in August 2011, the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts has proudly served as a dynamic venue for the community. - Full-scale performances of musicals and plays from the area’s best troupes
- Engaging lectures, presentations, and panel discussions
- Meetings and receptions that leave a lasting impression
- Orchestra concerts, chamber ensembles, and solo recitals
- Breathtaking dance productions from professional dancers and local academies
- Public and private events that bring our community together
City Circle Theatre Company
At the City Circle Theatre Company, we’re dedicated to bringing professional-caliber theatre to the heart of Coralville! Since our founding in 1997, we’ve produced a vibrant array of musicals, plays, and classes, alongside hundreds of volunteer opportunities each season.
Formally adopted by the Coralville City Council in 1998, City Circle became the resident theatre company of the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts in 2011. We merged with the city in 2014, evolving into a program committee of the CCPA. In 2018, we proudly rebranded as City Circle Theatre Company, continuing our mission to enrich the community through the arts.
Mission: To present theatrical productions that educate, enrich, and enlighten the public.
Purpose: As the resident acting company of the CCPA, we’re committed to providing a platform for talent while enhancing Coralville’s cultural landscape.
Circle’s Edge: Exploring New Horizons
Circle’s Edge is our adventurous branch, stepping beyond the CCPA stage to create intimate theatre experiences in unique community spaces. This initiative focuses on acting, text, and storytelling, resulting in thought-provoking performances that inspire dialogue and growth.

Young Footliters Youth Theatre
At Young Footliters Youth Theatre, we harness the power of storytelling to foster connections, build self-confidence, and inspire creativity in young people. Our theatre community is open to all, encouraging personal growth and self-expression.
We envision a community where every young person experiences the transformative effects of theatre, cultivating a lifelong passion for the arts.
Our Core Values
- Education: We believe theatre is essential for developing well-rounded individuals. Through theatrical storytelling, we teach critical skills such as empathy, communication, and problem-solving.
- Inclusivity: Diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our mission. We welcome all young people into our theatre family, helping them forge meaningful relationships within our diverse community
- Excellence: We provide exceptional learning environments that are supportive and intentional, promoting creativity and growth. We believe that an outstanding learning atmosphere leads to artistic excellence.
- Creativity: Theatre serves as an outlet for imagination and innovation. We offer opportunities for young people to express themselves both onstage and behind the scenes.
- Community: Collaboration is vital, and we work to cultivate positive relationships within our community. We celebrate our volunteers, young performers, and teaching artists, using theatre as a means to enrich and unite our community.
Fees
Have you ever wondered about the costs involved in putting on a play? Young Footliters is committed to being frugal, yet most productions range from $10,000 to $15,000. These costs cover visible elements like costumes, sets, and props, as well as less visible expenses, including advertising, script copies, and facility rentals. Most importantly, they support the talented teaching artists who bring our shows to life.
To meet these costs, we rely on a mix of donations, sponsorships, ticket sales, and participation fees. These fees are essential to making theatre possible. Generally, only actors pay these fees, while backstage and parent volunteers do not.
Scholarships
We believe every child should have access to our programming, regardless of financial circumstances. Young Footliters offers scholarships, including full-ride options, to ensure that participation fees do not hinder any child’s involvement. Families in need can request scholarships by completing this form.
