Located on Dubuque Street, we offer a unique mix of casual and stylish clothing for women of all ages, along with distinctive home décor items. Founded by Sandra Navalesi, Dulcinea has always prioritized honesty and customer satisfaction, ensuring every customer leaves feeling fabulous.
In 2019, Clare Mummey took over from Sandra, continuing the store’s cherished boho-chic and contemporary style. Clare’s passion for fashion and community ensures Dulcinea remains a beloved destination.
Our curated selection features top brands like Free People, Michael Stars, and Latico, as well as handcrafted jewelry and home decor treasures. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere has made Dulcinea a favorite destination for locals and visitors alike.
A highlight of Dulcinea is the stunning mural “Medicine for the Soul” on our exterior wall, created by local artist Anne Ullerich. This vibrant tribute to Iowa City’s literary heritage adds to the charm of our historic building, which has housed various businesses since the late 1860s.
