Finkbine Golf Course

Finkbine Golf Course is owned by the University of Iowa’s Athletic Department and is home to the University of Iowa Men’s and Women’s collegiate golf teams. The course is named after W.O. Finkbine, who donated the land to the University of Iowa. Troon Golf, LLC manages and operates the course.

On the course you will find the Nagle Family Clubhouse, a two-level facility which features a large pro shop, Bump’s Restaurant and Bar, an outdoor patio, locker rooms, underground cart storage, and the Nagle Room—a conference room and private dining space.

Finkbine features Bentgrass greens, tees, tree-lined fairways, 50+ well-manicured sand traps and a signature hole (the par-3, 13th) that offers a double green with a tee shot over the lone water feature on the course. Two new putting greens compliment the large driving range to help golfers work on their game.

Bump’s Restaurant is named for Chalmers “Bump” Elliott, who was director of men’s athletics at the University of Iowa from 1970-1991, an era when the Hawkeyes won 34 Big Ten and 11 NCAA championships! He has been described as the architect of Iowa Athletics, and his foundation of hard work, loyalty, and dedication continues to cement the success of Iowa Athletics. He lives on in Hawkeye Nation as a true legend.
